Merging separate CAD installations
Merging Separate G4 Local Installations Behind a Single Server Installation
First, choose the installation that will become the "master" system from now on. This is typically the network installation that all designers will connect to.
Next, create compressed files from the design data in the G4 installations you want to merge, either:
a. One project at a time, if all parts of the model are located within the same project:

b. One assembly at a time, if the parts of assemblies are collected from different project folders:
(insert relevant image or step-by-step instruction here if needed)
Import the compressed .vxz files from the other systems into the "master" system. You can select all the files at once and drag them into the G4 workspace.
(If needed) Remove the old standalone installations to ensure that all users continue their design work in the shared system.
NOTE:
It is likely that the separate installations contain projects or documents with the same names. During the merge, renaming documents is not possible, so the user must choose whether to overwrite the existing documents in the master installation with the content from the imported compressed files or not.
