Adding a new font to the Vertex G4 font selection
Requirements for using the Windows font collection in Vertex
The fonts must be in TTF format (TrueType Font). Fonts in formats such as OTF cannot be used.
You can search the internet for the desired font in TTF format and first add it to Windows, after which it can be added to Vertex.
You can browse the Windows font collection via the Windows Control Panel.
Adding a font to Vertex
Add a new font to Vertex’s settings as follows: Settings → Edit
Select Administrator view (bottom left corner).
In the draft → Graphics fonts section, look for keywords named font(x).
Add a new keyword, for example, by copying and pasting an existing keyword. Assign the keyword a new sequential number.
In the example below, fonts 10 … 15 were added by copying font(9) six times and changing the values to the desired fonts.
Cyrillic fonts
Cyrillic fonts (e.g., for the Russian language) may require enabling the Russian keyboard and Russian language through the Control Panel if Windows does not otherwise provide Cyrillic fonts.
If needed, you can also copy text from another Cyrillic source via the clipboard into Vertex’s text input window.
