What to do, if Vertex crashes?

The program saves a backup of all open windows at the moment of the crash. When you start the program next time, you will be asked if you want to restore the models and drawings that were open. At this point, you can select which documents you want to recover.

After making your selection, the program opens the documents one by one for review and asks for confirmation to replace the existing model. After inspecting the model or drawing, you can approve the restoration. The recovery is complete!
