Vertex G4 does not start (VERTEX64.exe – Entry point not found)

Problems
Vertex G4 does not open when double-clicking the icon. The following error message appears: “The procedure entry point could not be found in the dynamically linked library.”

Solution
The cause is the antivirus software preventing VERTEX64.exe from starting. You can resolve the issue by adding VERTEX64.exe to the list of allowed applications in your antivirus program.

In F-Secure settings, the most likely cause is the DeepGuard functionality, which—based on its own logic and “instructions from the motherboard”—decides to intercept VERTEX64.exe, resulting in a crash.
This monitoring can usually be prevented by adding VERTEX64.exe to the exclude list.
