Use the threaded rod component
A threaded rod has been added to the component library. You will find it:

Fasteners > Screws > Regulas_Thread > ThreadedRod.
The threaded rod comes with a concentricity constraint, so the rod gets a concentricity constraint if you place it on the cylinder surfaces of other parts.
Profiles
Use dimensioned lumber
Dimensioned lumber profiles are available in 12 different sizes. The profile dimension table is not locked, so you can enter other possible sizes yourself.
