Save and Load Presets for Extra Stud and Extra Backer framing macros

Why: Designers often need to make the same modifications to the default selections when adding extra stud and extra backer macros. The wood version of Vertex BD did not have a way to save and load selections.

Solution: Selections can now be saved as presets to a library, then easily loaded as needed. This feature was already available for steel framing.

New Wall Panel Details to Lap Sheathing Over Panel Breaks

Why: Customers that prefer to lap sheathing across panel breaks needed to manually stretch the sheets at every panel break.

Solution: New Continuous wall panel details were added to automatically lap sheathing 1-1/2” or 3” across panel breaks. These details can be selected when running the Generate Panels function. They can also be saved as the default selection.

Sorry, this is not available with Classic Wall Framing, but it can be customized by modifying panel end clip levels. Contact support for more information.

New Metric Panel Drawing Templates

Why: Several manufacturers in Canada design with imperial units but need to dimension panel drawings with metric units. Classic wall panels have a feature to automatically convert values to metric, but 3D wall, floor, ceiling, and roof panels and trusses did not have that feature.

Solution: New metric panel templates were added to provide panel drawings for 3D wall, floor, ceiling, and roof panels and trusses with metric dimensions and part lists.
