ScotSteel NC link BD 2026

The ScotSteel NC link in Vertex BD 2026 enables users to generate PanelID.scs files directly from Vertex BD. These files can be imported into the ScotSteel software, which is widely used in the construction industry to prepare data for Scotsdale rollformers. This integration streamlines the process of finalizing manufacturing data before production, ensuring that panel information from Vertex BD is compatible with the Scotsdale rollforming machines.

Key Limitations

• Single Section Type per Panel: Only one section type is supported per panel (e.g., you cannot mix U-tracks and C-joists in the same panel).

• Service Holes: Only two sizes of service holes are supported, as defined in the ScotSteelSetup.txt file using the 'feature_map' keyword.

• Other Features: Additional features such as notches and dimples are not supported by the link.
