Boxed top chords and side reinforcements on eave are defined in truss generator

Why: Asked for by users to increase drafting efficiency.

Boxed chords or side reinforcemnets can now be defined in the truss framing tools.

This will also work with framing tool sets.

If the overhang is greater than the overhang limit value, the nominated reinforcement is added.

There are 3 options to define the backspan. All values are entered in the overhang extension field.

  1. Absolute value. Enter the required backspan distance Eg. 1000

  2. Overhang. This is a multiple of the overhang length Eg. 2

  3. To node. Extends the reinforcement to the nominated node. Eg. 3

Similar trusses with same loads are getting different labels

The improvement was made because we noticed on the site when trusses are erected, they are generally arranged with the ideal spacing and therefore the engineering results for the trusses with odd spacing are invalid. This is especially true for floor trusses.

Deflection check improvement

When deflection of a member is modelled, the translation and rotation of the supported nodes should be taken into consideration. The deflection check model in the new version is improved so that a more precise estmation can be acchieved.
