The articles in this section are for advanced users and system administrators.
The system administration functions are not available as a default. The functions are not required in normal design work. Only a system administrator should edit the system settings.
The system administrator's functions include editing the settings and component libraries.

You can edit the system's keywords by selecting File > Preferences > Edit. Default values for several parameters are defined in the settings.

You can find the functions for editing the component libraries on the System tab.
As a system administrator, you can start using the system administration functions by making following modification to the ../user/SETUP file:
Change
set.system.menu= 0
to
set.system.menu= 1
If the program environment has been installed on a network server, set the keyword to your own user-specific ../user/SETUP.COMPUTER_NAME file.
The setting takes effect when you restart Vertex.
