Revision

Purpose of use

The purpose of revision is to define a specific time-bound transformation for a document.

When changes are made to the content of a published or approved document, a new revision must be created.

In some cases, the term "version" is used as a synonym for revision. The word "version" is primarily used for software, while "revision" refers to products and documents.
