NCR
Purpose of use
A Non-Conformance Report (NCR) is a formal document used to identify, document, and address instances where a product, process, or system fails to meet specified standards or requirements. It aims to ensure non-conformances are systematically managed and corrected, helping maintain quality and compliance. Key steps in handling an NCR include detecting and reporting the issue, assessing its impact, planning and implementing corrective actions, and verifying and closing the report to prevent recurrence.
Functions
General functions
Regarding the NCR object, actions during the deviation reporting primarily involve entering and editing metadata, as well as adding attachments that clarify the issue. The object should also be linked to other objects that describe the context in which the deviation was observed. If the NCR prompts actions, its status is changed according to the agreed-upon company practices, and it should be linked to an Engineering Change Order (ECO) when the change order is created.
