A New ECR (OLD)
You can create a new ECR in two ways on Archive-tab. The first way is to right-click on top of ECR and select New ECR. The other way is to select the desired classification under ECR, right-click on top of it and select New ECR. In this way the ECR has a classification straight away.
There opens an Add ECR -page. Already in the creating state you should connect the ECR to the object it is related to. After adding the connection, add the basic information, like title and classification (if it wasn't selected earlier). As an assignee select the person who you want to look at the suggestion and comment it. You can attach files that are related to the suggestion. There are different attributes which you can select to describe the suggestion better (fix of delievered, critical issue). The attributes shown in the picture below are the ones that come with Flow's basic delivery.
The most important parts of the creation of an ECR are to add a description and argument. When you write a proper argument for the suggestion, it is easier for the assignee to understand the suggestion.
Once you have created an ECR, there appears a notification of it on the front page of the assignee's Flow. The assignee decides whether the ECR will be approved or rejected. The assignee can do this by changing the ECR's status. It is probably a good idea to always add a comment while changing ECR's status. In this way others know why the ECR was rejected or approved and there stays important information of the rejected ECR in Flow. If there will be an ECR of the same topic, you can just view the old ECR and look for the reasons why it was rejected.
If you decide to approve an ECR, it results to an ECO.
