Import and Export

Purpose of use

When you want to import a large number of objects (projects, documents, customers, items, etc.) into Flow, creating the objects individually would be too slow. If the metadata of the objects to be created is available in Excel format, it is possible to create the objects by importing the Excel file. If the objects are associated with files (such as documents, models, or drawings), these need to be compressed into a zip file alongside the Excel file in a FILES directory.

Similarly, multiple objects can be exported from Flow to Excel at once. If the objects are associated with files (such as documents, models, or drawings), the export will generate a FILES directory alongside the Excel file, into which the files will be copied. Together with the Excel file, this will be packed into a single zip file at the end of the export process.
