Add Hot-roll Face Plate Connections

This article will show you how to add in a beam to column connection.

1. Go to the Modelling tab
   
   

2. Click into the Joints menu.
   
   

3. Choose the Connection Details  command.
   
   

4. Go into the Hot Rolled folder, then into the Face Plates sub folder.
   
   

5. Double-click the (0612) Beam to column option.
   
   
   

6. Now select the column you wish to add the connection to.
   
   
   

7. Now choose the beam ends to connect, which will display a yellow ball , then Confirm.
   
   
   

8. The connection properties window will automatically open.
   
   
   

9. Define the needed parameters and click OK.
   
   

10. The connection will be added.
