Add Hot-roll Column Base Plates

This article will show you how to add in baseplates to columns.



This article uses a pre-added Hot-rolled column and assumes the user can add this.


  1. Go to the Modelling tab

  2. Click into the Joints image2016-5-9 14:29:15.png menu.

  3. Choose the Connection Details  image2016-5-9 14:31:29.png command.

  4. Go into the Hot Rolled folder, then into the Base plates and End Caps sub folder.

  5. Double-click the (0100) Base plate (4 Holes) option.

  6. Now select the column/s you wish to add the base-plate to and Confirm

  7. Now pick the base-plate height.

  8. The plate properties window will automatically open.

  9. Define the needed parameters and click OK.

  10. Choose the forward direction for the plate, this is the direction the plate will move when an X Offset is set image2020-11-27_8-30-38.png

  11. The Plate will be added.
