Add Hot-roll Beam Splice Connections

This article will show you how to add in a splice connection between two beams.

1. Go to the Modelling tab
   
   

2. Click into the Joints menu.
   
   

3. Choose the Connection Details command.
   
   

4. Go into the Hot Rolled folder, then into the Spice Plates sub folder.
   
   

5. Double-click the (0701) Beam to Beam option.
   
   
   

6. Now select the first beam end you wish to add the connection to.
   
   
   

7. Now choose the connecting beam ends.
   
   

8. The connection properties window will automatically open.
   
   
   

9. Define the needed parameters and click OK.
   
   

10. The connection will be added.
