The example list below is intended as a guideline.
Nvidia's various Quadro/GeForce models intended for CAD design product groups are released frequently.
For Vertex, the most important thing is the advantage of these Nvidia product group drivers, i.e. the DirectX interface support they contain works most reliably.
Desktops
Nvidia Quadro /RTX and /RTX A series
Nvidia Quadro K1200/K2200/P1000/P2000/P4000 /T1000/T2000 series
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2000 / RTX 3000 series
Laptops
Nvidia Quadro /RTX and /RTX Ada series
Nvidia Quadro M1200/M2200/P1000/P2000/P3200/T1000/T2000 series
Nvidia Quadro M620/P600/T600 (budget option)
Nvidia GeForce RTX A2000 / RTX A3000 series
Workstation processor
The example list below is intended as a guideline.
Today's processors have a large number of cores and they bring benefits in many situations.
In CAD use, most of the time you get the best benefit when you choose a processor with a high single-core max. clock frequency (Intel® Turbo Boost Technology).

Note
Vertex CAD programs are not designed for sharing folders on Dropbox, OneDrive, or SharePoint type network shares. The risk of sharing conflicts is high, as database and file locks do not work as they do on a LAN, and databases and files can become corrupt.
