Create a New Floor or Roof Structure Library
Learn how to create a new horizontal structure (floors, ceilings and roofs).

Select System | Libraries | Floor Roof.
Click the right mouse button over Standard Structures and select Create New Library to create a library for customized structures.
- Type a name for your library.
- Update the Description in the Component library dialog box.
Now the custom library is created and it's visible in the list of libraries. Select any structure in the Standard Structures library and copy it as a base structure to the library you've created.
Activate the new library and right-click over the lower left corner of the Component properties dialog and select Paste.
Set the properties of a new structure. Special characters and spaces are forbidden in the Name and the File fields. Default values are from the copied structure.
The new structure is now visible in the structure library. Activate the structure and modify it by adding correct layers. New layers can be added by activating any layer in the Layers dialog, right-click and select Insert above or Insert below.
