Purpose of use

A vendor is an organization that delivers items (components, semi-finished products etc.).

• If you connect a vendor to a product you can track the products and projects easier.

• For example, if a product contains two items from different vendors, you can connect the vendors to the product and find out, which vendor's items cause more hardware failures.
