3D Panel Stacking

3D Panel Stacking General

3D Panel Stacking is a new feature in Vertex BD 2024 that allows users to create and modify stacks of panels in 3D view, with improved performance and usability.

Panel stacking is an integral part of the construction process, impacting logistics, safety, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality control. Panel stacking plays an important role in the construction process for several reasons:

  • Logistics and Installation: The stacking order is determined by the panel installation order on site. This order directly influences the transportation and manufacturing sequence, ensuring a smooth and efficient construction process.
  • Efficiency and Productivity: An optimal stacking sequence can improve productivity and reduce the possibility of worker injury. It allows for quick and easy access to the required panels, reducing delays and enhancing the overall efficiency of the construction process
  • Safety: Safe stacking practices can significantly reduce the risk of stockpile collapses or injuries from retrieving materials from improperly stacked piles
  • Quality Control: Detailed reports and drawings can be generated from panel stacks, providing essential documentation for quality control and construction processes
