Create Faster-Updating Accurate Projections from Assemblies
Until now, a "quick" section cut has been used for large assembly models. The issue with this type of projection is that it cannot be dimensioned accurately in all areas. In such cases, a precise section cut must be used, but this sacrifices speed. Now, an accurate and fast multithreaded section cut is available.
When performing a precise multithreaded cut of all parts in the assembly, the cuts are processed in separate threads. As a result, the entire projection can be updated in a fraction of the time it previously took. In smaller assemblies, the difference may not be very noticeable. However, the larger the assembly and the longer the previous update time, the greater the speed improvement.
Note that when switching from a traditional precise cut to a multithreaded cut, you may lose dimension reference points. In such cases, you will need to redo the dimensioning. It is not possible to revert back to the old precise projection once you've switched to the multithreaded projection.
