Create an Excel report of the item structure

General

You can create various reports in xlsx file format for Excel:

  • From the item structure.

  • From a project linked to the item structure.

The system administrator can create necessary report templates that define the format of the report.

For more information on product structures: Product structures.

Create a Report

Initially, you will have selected an item for which you want to create a report or a project to which an item structure is linked.

(1) Select the action

  • Item > Item Structure > Reports, or

  • Project > Reports.

  • Flow will open the Reports dialog.

(2) Choose the report template.

(3) Optionally, enter a string in the identifier or description field as a search criterion.

(4) Optionally, set search criteria for classification, status, product group, procurement method, ABC classification, or weight calculation method.

(5) Optionally, select spare part, consumable, stockable, or transfer restriction from the item data.

(6) Optionally, select spare part or consumable from the structure data.

(7) Optionally, select the levels of the structure for which the report will be generated.

  • The default selection (dash) means the report will be created for all structure levels.

(8) Select the action "Create."

  • The action will be inactive if no report template is selected.

  • By default, the report name will be the same as the report template's name.

  • Flow will add the report to the browser's download section.

Open the Report

Click on the report in the browser's download section.

  • For more about download sections, see: Notes on Browsers.

Delivery System Report Templates

Item Report: All Data

  • A structure list (bill of materials) containing all information in the structure, including parts, documents, and manufacturing details. See Product Structures.

Item Report: List of Collection

  • The structure is preserved, but the report calculates the correct quantities for items in the resulting item rows.

Item Report: Structure List

  • A parts list (bill of materials) for the item.

Item Report: Sumlist

  • Calculates the quantities of items for rows in the report. Identical items are summed, so the structure is not preserved.

  • Adds up the quantities for identical profile items of the same length (increases the unit count).

Item Report: Total Sumlist
Calculates quantities (unit items) or total amounts (mm, kg items) for rows in the report. Identical items are summed, so the structure is not preserved.

  • Adds up the total lengths of identical profile items (total length increases); the unit count is 1.

  • The list includes only one row per item.

  • Note: You can filter report content using search fields, e.g., select only "Material" items (via the Product Group option).

Item Report: Manufacturing Structure

  • A simplified report with information related to product manufacturing (e.g., excludes the header table).

Pricing: Price Calculation

  • Calculates the price of the structure. When generating a price calculation report, you can select the price list to be used for retrieving prices. Items and projects also include the "Calculate Price..." option, which opens a reporting view for pricing reports. The "Calculate Price..." function filters the report template list to show only templates with the "PRICING" category.
