Create a new document
General
You can create a new document:
Using the context-specific action "New document" in Flow.
By copying an existing document in Flow using the action Document > Copy.
By dragging and dropping files into Flow.
By saving the document directly from an application, for example, from an Office program or Vertex G4.

Create a new document
(1) Select the Archive tab.
(2) Choose Documents > Document.
You can opt for the action "New document," but then you have to select a classification on the document card.
(3) Select the classification under which the document will be created.
(4) Select the context-specific action "New document."
Flow opens the Add Document dialogue box.
The dialogue box displays the following sections:
Preview Image (initially almost empty)
Document
Revision
Information connections
Files
(5) Complete the Document section in the attribute block.
Mandatory fields are marked with a light blue background.
(6) Enter the revision number, if necessary, in the Revision field.
By default, a new document does not have a revision number.
However, if the document being established in Flow already has a revision number, you can enter it.
(7) Connections
If necessary, you can select a connection to another object in the Connections section.
Choose a recently edited object from the list that opens under +Select to attach or Select, which opens a list of document types.
Select the document type.
Choose +Select to attach, which opens a list of documents according to the selected type.
Select the related document from the list.
Some connections, such as the connection to a Project, may be defined as mandatory information that must be provided in order to add the document.
(8) Select the file related to the document.
(9) Create the document by selecting OK.

No file attached
This is mainly used when a document is pre-established in Flow, and its attached file will be created later.
New file from template
Select the file to be used as a template from the list.
Choose the file (Choose File).
Click on the Choose File action.
Browse and select the file to be attached to the document.
